COTA faced the challenge of manually assigning unique identifiers to categorize patients into cohorts based on shared conditions. This process was essential for tracking patient care and outcomes but required significant manual work, leading to potential delays and inefficiencies. A support ticket would first need to be submitted to the engineering team, who would then schedule the work into their project timelines and code the change once they got to it. With patient datasets and provider insights highly dependent on accurate and timely cohort assignments, COTA sought an automated solution to streamline this task, reduce the strain on resources, and enable faster, error-free data categorization.
